Big Boy!!

Ethan has made HUGE strides over the past couple weeks.  He is totally out of pull-ups...tonight is officially the 1st night in underwear all night!  He also started not being so afraid to go poopy in the toilet.  He has been out of diapers during the day for a year now, but had a HUGE fear of "sitting" on the toilet.  Well, Nintendo DS and a Mario game fixed that within 4 days!! :)  I am so proud of him.  He feels so great that he is "all grown up".  My big boy, really is growing up so fast.  We love him!

The Sweetest Things.

A baby sleeping has got to be the cutest thing on earth.
I took pictures of Samuel during his exrta long nap today.
What a sweetheart.  I love him.

17 weeks

Today starts the 17th week.  The baby is the size of a small turnip this week!  My belly is growing fast!  Over the last week, it has really "sprouted".  Had the Dr. appointment last week, heart rate was at 152.  We will find have our big ultrasound on May 14th.  I can hardly wait!

Other big news:  felt the baby's kicks yesterday!  Just a small one, but I felt it for sure!! :)  So exciting.

A furry visitor

Auntie Muzzie was so kind to rescue a lost kitten that was roaming the neighborhood.  She stayed in our cage until someone came to get her.  The boys were just in awe.  They wanted to keep the kitty and as soon as Ethan found out she wasn't ours, he was pretty upset.  Sam wanted to play with her and kept trying to open the dog cage.  Nick and I are both severely allergic to cats, so we will never own one...but it was fun while it lasted!

Finishing the Project.

Don't get too excited, we are nowhere near being "finished".  However, we could finally finish the drywall in Samuel's room.  The gas company came out and dug up our front yard to move our meter outside.  Now it's directly in front of our house...any great idea's on a plant that will cover it nicely would be great!!  I thought it would be a HUGE mess, but they actually did a spectacular job, you can't even tell they dug it up!  So onto the next project.  We are trying to get some carpet picked out right now, and I am changing my mind about everyday on the colors for paint...so haven't bought those yet.  But it's almost all primed. :)  Such little to do, but such time consuming tasks left.

**pregnancy massage here I come** (I just know I won the bet)

16 weeks

Today starts week 16!!  Wow, those past 4 months have just flown by.  I actually went shopping for a few maternity shirts this morning.  Only found 2...but I guess it's a good start right!?  Yes, I have to buy maternity clothes, because silly me...gave them ALL away after I had Sam, as I was FOR SURE we were done having baby's!!  Ha!  Luckily I really wont have to buy any warm clothes...just mostly shorts and tee's...nothing too expensive atleast. :)

I have a Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday, and then in 4 more weeks we will know if the baby is a boy or a girl!  I can't hardly wait a second longer.  I am ready to buy something for this little peanut!!!  I almost bought a boy and a girl outfit at Younkers the other day, but thought I might be jinxing it keeping girls clothes in the house, so I held off.  Maybe one day I will be able to buy those super cute dresses and outfits by Osh Kosh that I always see!! ;)

Anyways!  I have been feeling really sick again.  In fact, it seems like I feel more sick now than I did 4 weeks ago!  This time my mouth waters, and I feel it right there...it's awful!!  I hope that goes away soon.  Otherwise I have been feeling great!  I can't feel the baby move yet, but I am hoping it's soon!  I think I felt Ethan move around 14 weeks, but didn't feel Sam until close to 20!  Very different, thats for sure.

It looks like there is a good mix of boy and girl guess's out there!  Can't wait to share what our peanut is!!

Good Morning Mommy!!

Sunday morning, Ethan woke up before I went to work.
Which is pretty early for him, latley he has been enjoying sleeping in
(I have been waiting for that day for 4 1/2 years now).

Anyways, he came into the bathroom and I noticed some stringy stuff on his shirt, but I assumed it was a string from his shirt so I ignored it.  Then he says to me "Mommy, can you get this thing out of my hair"?  He turns around to show me what looks like blue and purple gum in his hair...which is what also turned out to be all over his shirt.  After realizing he was playing with silly putty right before bed, he must how some how snuck it into bed with him and slept ON it!!

So I was already running late for work, and now I had to try and figure out what to do with this mess.  It was all over his pajamas, and all over his sheets too.  So I dealt with those things and left the hair for Nick.  I figured he had given it to him to sleep with, so he could clean it out of his hair!! :)

I had no clue silly putty could turn into a substance so similar to gum, or I definetley would NOT have let the Easter Bunny put it in his basket!!  Nick ended up getting it out with ice...basically freezing it out!  Ha!  What a silly boy we have...can't wait until it's really gum.

Self Feeding!!

It's official.  Sam will not let you feed him anything anymore.  And don't even think about giving him food without a fork!  He want's to eat everything that his brother eats...even if it's going to be a huge mess!  He actually does pretty good, yesterday, he only spilled 1 noodle...all the rest made it to his mouth!!  He is growing and becoming Mr. Independent really fast!
practicing with mac-n-cheese

yogurt....a little messy

Our Easter

This year, Ethan really wanted to color eggs....last year he had no interest.  So we colored 18 eggs.  And he still wanted to do more.  Sam had his 1st egg hunt, and he picked up on what to do pretty quickly.  As soon as he discovered what filled the eggs...he wanted MORE!! :)  The boys both got matching easter jamies from the Easter bunny, and the Easter bunny even made a pit stop and Grandma and Grandpa's house and brought Ethan the game he has been asking about for a long time...Mario Kart!

I had Sammie dressed in a super cute special Easter outfit, and right when we got home from breakfast he found a full glass of OJ that was right at his reachable level, and spilled it all over his white button up shirt...and khaki pants.  It mostly came out, but wasn't dry in time to wear the rest of the day! :(  There went our family picture!!  It was a beautiful day, perfect weather!

We had dinner and Grandma and Grandpa's house and had a few other guests Uncle Mike and Judy!  Always so great to see them!

New Adventures

This past week it has finally warmed up enough to be outside with the boys.  Nick has started to work on his benches again, along with all the other projects he has going on.  Samuel just loves being outside...just the freedom of running around or chasing Sadie.  Ethan comes outside for just a few minutes before he is ready to go in again.  He has never really been a big fan of the little pools either, but I think Sam is just going to love it!

Sam has had many firsts in the last week or so.  Like:
walking on grass for the 1st time - which he thought was really weird at first
swinging - likes it but not too high or he gets really scared
blowing bubbles - more like spitting on the bubbles, or trying to blow them out like birthday candles
and tomorrow he will have his first Easter egg hunt in the backyard.

I filled all the eggs today, with candy.  When Ethan was Sam's age, I remember filling those eggs with grapes and coins for his piggy bank!  We would have NEVER allowed candy!!  Hahaha, funny how things change with the 2nd child.  I can definetley see how the 1st has to "pave the way" for the younger siblings!!  Poor Ethan, but I know he can handle it!  He's the "first born"!!

Addicted to gaming!!!
