3 Months Old!!

Griffin is 3 months old today!!  It has gone by so fast.  He is such a good baby now.  His reflux is still an issue, but the medication is helping a ton!!  No more colic, unless I eat dairy, then is NOT a happy baby.  He babbles all the time.  Doesn't mind tummy time, but tends to spit up on every occasion.  He is REALLY into sucking his thumb and when he can't get it in his mouth just right...he gets SO UPSET!!  Like screaming upset!
His sleeping habits are more routine now.  He likes to go to bed RIGHT after bath-time...and when I am not working the night shift, he requires me to lay with him.  If I try to crawl out of bed, his Mama radar goes off, and he wakes up demanding to nurse to sleep again.  Oh well. :)  I secretly enjoy it!

Don't Look!

 Every time I get the camera out to photograph this sweetie, his gives me this crunched up face.  And turns away.  Giving me no good pictures.  Ever.  I ask him to show me his teeth...in hopes of a smile, and he roars at me!!

Balding...

Griffin is losing all his hair!!  And it's turning a lighter shade of blond-ish brown!!  I love his little bald spot! :)

Dear Santa...

The boys left Santa a note with milk and cookies...

We made sure the reindeer's had food...

We took a drive downtown to see all the beautiful lights...

With the reindeer's food out and cookies for Santa...there should be no problem finding our house!

Thumb Sucker?!?

Let me just point out something so cute....those little rubber-band wrists!
Yes.  He's chubby.  And I love it!

 Someone LOVES to suck his thumb, but has a little difficulty controling his hands still.  He wants it so bad...he cries for it!  Once he gets assistance he is so happy!! :)

Happy 5th Brithday E!!!

I can hardly believe that 5 years ago, this morning at 4:55 am, weighing only 6lbs. 13oz. our biggest little guy was born!!  He was just a little peanut!  Oh how things have changed!  He now rides in a booster chair and buckles himself in.  He is Mr. Independent!  Wants to do everything himself!  He has the most vivid imagination, and uses it all day while making "boy noises" and swirling his toys in the air pretending they are flying through space.  He LOVES to play his Nintendo DS and Wii.  In fact I let him open 1 birthday gift before bed last night {it's in his hand in the picture}, which resulted in him staying up until after 10pm playing it in bed!!

Happy Birthday E!  We love you so much!!!

His Very First...

We attended Ethan's very first Christmas program.  It was perfect!  Grandma and Grandpa joined us.  As the children were walking down the isle to the stage, Sammie saw Ethan and started yelling "brother, brother"!!!!  It was SO cute!!
 Griffin slept in his carrier for the 1st part, and once the kids sang loudly, he woke up, but was a very good boy! {thank goodness!}

The boys showing some brother love while getting ready to go.  Ethan was super excited to "sing" for us.  And was even more excited that Grandma and Grandpa came along!  I can't believe he is at thins age already!!!  Tomorrow he will be 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Your Kleenex Out...

My best friend Breanne, shared this beautiful and heart warming blog with me a few weeks ago.  I have to share it with you, because I can't stop thinking about it.

It takes me back to when the Dr. told us that Samuel had some concerning characteristics of being Down Syndrome.  I felt like such a terrible Mom for the thoughts that ran through my head that afternoon.  Wondering how different my life was going to be, wondering Why ME?  Why US?  I am not strong enough to handle this.  Why did He pick me?  My brother is Downs Syndrome, so I know first hand just how trying and challenging yet rewarding it can be to have a special needs child.

After reading this woman's story, I got it.  I got that it's OK, to be sad, and it's ok to be confused and feel lost.  I also got that they are a gift.  The best unexpected gift you can receive.  My brother is so loving, and so sweet, I couldn't imagine life without him.

You MUST read her story.  Click HERE to read it.

Makes you really aprreciate everything in your life....including your children!

Babble's

Look at that massive belly!! :)
 Griffin has begun to babble!  It's so cute!  Most of his words began with the letter "G"..which is so fitting, right!? :)  He is sleeping better at night, and so is Sam!  Sam like to sleep in even!  The past 2 mornings he has slept until almost 8am, without waking in the night. I went back to work 3 days ago, and so far, so good.
Daddy has been doing great taking care of them while I am gone.  Even on the night shift, when he has to bathe all of them, and get them all to sleep...by himself!  I am so proud of him.  Because I wouldn't want to do it all by myself!  We are lucky to have the schedules that we do, allowing us to NOT have to send them to daycare and both still maintain full time jobs!  So thankful for that.
2 more days, and Ethan will be 5, 3 more days and Samuel will be 2!  Where has the time gone?  Seems like just yesterday Samuel was born...and now he's a big brother.  It's going way too fast, and I feel like sometimes I am taking it for granted.  I want to be solely absorbed in my children while they are this little.
Love that sweet little face!!

***Well I finally did it!  I opened up my ETSY SHOP a few days ago!  I just ordered a bunch of fabric for little ones {boys and girls} so I should have the shop stocked with goodies in a few weeks.  I can't wait!  Have a special request?  Just let me know and we'll see what we can do!}

Mine Forever!!

I wish I wrote down all the things that Ethan says...some of them just blow me away.  Last night during bath time, Daddy was talking to Ethan about going to school today.  He mentioned Anasia {Ethan's girl - friend} and Ethan says "Daddy, don't talk like that, she's mine!"  Nick and I both had a good laugh out of that one.  Then he said something about "She's mine forever".  Nick quickly told Ethan to snap out of it that he was only 5!  What is this kid going to be like when he is 15?!

His favorite thing to do...play video games!

It was so special for her to be here and her to meet Griffin as he is just a baby!  Ethan and Samuel were so excited to see her as well!  We miss her already!  Come back soon!! xoxo
