A Quilt for Baby P!!
I made 2 quilts, because they were both so cute! The top one is for Baby P with 8 inch squares, and the bottom one is with 6 inch squares. They both turned out really cute. But my favorite is the top one. It's so cute! I only have the quilt top done, still need to sandwhich it and quilt!

Been Busy!
I've been busy. Sewing. Being a Mom. Cooking for the 3 bottom-less pits I have. Doing anything BUT cleaning. I need a sewing break. Only to clean my house. I told myself I was going to take a day off.
And then this happened...
:) So much for a day off huh! Isn't it adorable?!?! {Thanks for the order Kris!!} And while that was happening, the sewing machine attacked my left thumb. Literally. Not really quite sure WHAT happened. But my thumb got caught in the up-down motion of the needle, and it tore a big chunk of skin off...OK. I will spare you the photo and gorey details. But it hurts. Like hell. And yet I find myself back at it again today...with neosporin and a band-aid.
{my loves}
{Ethan told me "DONT SHOW THAT TO ANYONE MOMMY"} ---such a mean Mommy I am!
{Lunch Time!!}
{Sleepy time}
{One of my current projects...an awesome quilt for my friends new Baby "P"}

Happy Birthday Grandma Kris!!
Grandma Kris lives right across the street, so it was really easy for us to wish her a Happy Birthday!! I decided to make something special for her this year. I found a tutorial for a gathered clutch, and thought she would just love it! Here's how it turned out:
and the inside:
It even has pockets for her debit/credit cards! Another one to come for Grandma Debbie's Birthday! The zipper actually wasn't too bad, that was the 1st time I had sewn a zipper. I am pleased with how it turned out! You should try this cute little gathered clutch for yourself!

No Mans Land...
This morning, Nick asked me for a needle and thread. I was wondering what in the world he was going to do with it. I think he got sick of asking me if I had fixed his pants yet, and hearing "No babe, not yet"!!! So he decided to tackle it himself! :) Nothing like seeing a man sit on the couch watching Gangland sewing his pants...
He was trying the fix the massive rip in his jeans, because I kept telling him I didn't know how to fix it without it looking quite silly. Any ideas? It's ripped straight down for about 8 or 9 inches just above the knee...I mean I could always patch it like a 4th grader would....what do you think?

Sewing for a GIRL!
No, not us! I had my first customer the other day! She asked me to make her a cute baby blanket and onesie for her brand new baby girl. Boy I tell ya, it was pretty AWESOME buying cute pink fabric and using pink thread... {shh, don't tell Nick how much fun I had, he might freak out that I am getting ideas already}
This is how it turned out:
I just LOVE this fabric. So cute with the pink pears and apples, then with the pink minky dot on the backside!
I embellished the onesie with some cut out pears and apples, then stitched around so it wouldn't fray.
I added a burp cloth too! The fabric was so cute, I wouldn't imagine it just sitting around my house...I mean what in the world would I do with girl fabric!?
Thanks Lauren! And congrats on your baby girl!!

Homemade Baby Stuff!!!
I have been making baby stuff like crazy! I will think of something cute, and then not stop thinking about it until I have made it!! Check these things out:
{super soft 100% cotton and minky blanket with stitched on big letter G, and matching onesie with little g} Isn't that just the cutest fabric you have ever seen?!? :)
{this is definitely going in the hospital bag!}
{I used yellow thread floss to stitch around the little g on the onesie}
{then we have the completed crib bumper! Apples are on the outside}
{and the inside is lime green polka-dots...even completed with pockets for a bedtime story or other little goodies! And of course this matches the quilt I had already made for him.}

Sammie's Quilt
I whipped this up today while Sammie was napping. Literally "whipped" it up! This is the one that has been on the back burner for about a month now that I found the tutorial for HERE. I was pretty impressed as I eyeballed most of it...but had to start pinning towards the end. I am pretty impressed with how it looks. A little busy, but for a little boy {it works great}. This one is for Sammie.
It was going to be the size of his bed...but I chickened out, and made it more like a toddler bed size. Not quite finished yet, but need the binding and the back! I am still not sure which fabric I like the best for the back...Any suggestions?? :)

It's finally done!!!
Well, there it is!! The finished product. I am debating on actually quilting it or not. I like how it looks now, but am not sure how it will wash up? More than likely I will end up "ditch stitching" it {stitching in the squares that are already on the top, so it goes to the back too}. I dunno yet. But I am in love with the colors and how cute it is!! :) I think Baby G will love it! **Yes, there are a few flaws, but hey, for really never sewing anything in my LIFE, and to just up an sew a baby quilt...I am pretty damn impressed! ;)
Up Next! Amy Butler's pattern from "Little Stitches for Little Ones" for the crib bumper, skirt and a super cute monkey that's a dirty laundry bag. Don't know if I will actually have time to get to the monkey...since I only have 10 weeks left...I think the crib stuff is a priority! :) Can't wait!

What I've been doing!!
Forget baby steps...I am taking one giant leap into the world of sewing. I am tackling my 1st quilt. It's so cute! You can find the tutorial HERE. And I found the super cute fabric for it HERE. It might be a little challenging, especially for my 1st, but hey I am up for the challenege!! I finally got all the fabric cut out, and I tell you what. Having kids and trying to wash, press, and cut fabric...CHALLENGING. A simple 40 minute project can turn into a 6 hour project! I can't wait to show you the finish product...even if it takes 4 months! I am also working on a baby quilt, but don't have all the fabric yet. But it's going to be so cute!!! It's a green and blue apple "theme"!!
